Colonization
In the midst of movement,
I am spelling what I see from my eyes.
What I hear from my ears.
What I think in my brain.
And what I feel in my heart.
My body stands in my sacred space.
There's no room for anyone to trespass.
If you can see me, stay where you are.
Instead of mind-raping me,
be clear with where you stand and where I stand.
Before you colonize me with your ideas,
philosophy and intellectual understanding.
Before you proceed with your invasion
over my words, mind and feelings,
Be aware with why you want to cross.
When you're uninvited, make no move.
When you don't have a pass, don't open.
Just stay where you are.
Before you cross the line,
think why I drew what I drew.
Be aware since you're uninvited.
Open your eyes, this is not where you live.
If you can taste your breath in the air,
you know I'm not standing there.
I am where you can unreach.
In the space where I free my mind.
This is the place where I dance my dance.
My soul soars as it triple spins.
When I flow, I'm unreachable.
No doubt your intellect cannot fly.
I'm at where I dance my soul.
Where the limit is only in your dream.
Let me freely float away.
Because you damn well know you're uninvited.
This is the space where sacred is
the name of the song I dance to.
