Where I work
Hi guys!
Today, I'd like to write about where I work! Some people know I work as a Juice Bar Attendant. Or our manager describes "Wellness Coordinator”. But what the heck is it?
First of all, let me tell you about real "Juice". I feel like not many Japanese people are familiar with real "Juice" because in Japanese English, "Juice" is a sweet drink that you can get in vending machines. Also, I've seen colorful liquids in blenders displayed in juice stores in Japan but that's not really a "Juice" that typical Americans think of. "Juice" is freshly squeezed vegetable or fruit liquid usually by a juicer. 
My job is to take orders from customers, to make juices or smoothies and some light meals such as salad and sandwich and to serve. We are located at the Spa in Pebble Beach. Spa in the US is different from Spa in Japan. In the US, Spa is a high-end and luxurious place where you get to have full service of body and facial massage. They usually have a sauna, a jacuzzi, or anything that you can relax with. Also, keep in mind that we are Pebble Beach Resorts, one of the well-known resort hotels in the world. We have 4 golf courses, one being a famous golf link for tournaments like the US Open and AT&T Pro-Am. So, long story short, the most of our juice bar customers are the guests from the hotel who come for Spa and enjoy healthy and beautifying juice and smoothie drinks💁♀️
Okay, now that I told you a little bit about our hotel and juice bar, let me take you to the tour.
Welcome to our Pebble Beach Spa! Take the path and enter through the door.
By the way, my bosses Clint Eastwood and Arnold Palmer are two of the co-owners of Pebble Beach Resorts. Yes, that Clint Eastwood who is an actor, director, producer in Hollywood and a former Mayor of Carmel which is the next town of Pebble Beach. And that Arnold Palmer who is a pro golfer and the owner of the famous parasol clothing brand. Although they haven't met me yet, they are my legit bosses😎😂
Here's our tiny Juice Bar! You go through this tiny space and get to the register. So keep going.
Take a look at the menu. What would you like? Oh, any recommendations? Ok, so, I love Pebble Pear-dice. What it is is that it's got a pear, kale, orange and a hint of mint. The subtle flavor of mint blends in the sweet pear and orange which makes it really refreshing! Of course our juices are freshly made in the back! It's 100% healthy and awesome refreshers!
This is our heavy-duty juicer. Thanks to this guy, we are able to do what we are here to do!
One last glance of our tiny square juice hangout. We'll go out of this and get to our patio.
We have two patio tables where you can sip your juice in this lovely setting. You hear birds chirping and see crows waiting for your leftover food in a pleasant day like this.
It's not showing but on the right are the hotel rooms. I heard Tiger Woods often stays hear. He was here during the US Open golf tournament this past June although I didn't see him in person.
This is the library room. It's not a part of our juice bar but some guests want to relax and enjoy their drinks and bites here. Oh, I forgot to tell you that we do serve cocktails, wine and other alcoholic beverages as well.
Although Pebble Beach is known as a foggy town, we do have an outdoor heated swimming pool where the guests can swim in the summer or winter. People like to lie down on the chairs and kick back, get tanned when it's sunny, or chat and mingle while sipping drinks from us.
Here's some sneak peak. You're peaking out the famous Pebble Beach Golflink! You might have seen it on TV or in a magazine. This view is from our coffee room window in Conservatory where Spa guests lounge around while waiting for their masseuses and masseurs.
Lastly, these are our Christmas lights in the Lodge. The Lodge is where the main hotel rooms and the front desk is. There are also retail stores where they sell golf wears, items, gifts and all other Pebble Beach logoed brands. You have to walk about 5 minutes from our juice bar. It is especially pretty when all the lights are on at night in this season.
